Adidas has announced the official Australian launch of its new running shoes, featuring an updated, full-grain leather upper with an enhanced design.
The shoes are made by the brand’s Australian partner, Vibram, which has been known for making shoes with a higher-quality construction.
They come in five colour options: white, dark green, black and black/gold.
In a statement, Adidas said it had created a high-performance shoe in collaboration with the Australian Running Council and the Australian National University to showcase the brand to young athletes.
“Adidas will deliver a shoe that’s as comfortable as it is performance-driven,” Adidas Australian chief executive Peter Vinson said in a statement.
The company will offer the shoes to its Australian retail partners on November 16.
Adidas says it will be releasing its new shoe line in March and a new running shoe for the 2018 season.
The shoe, which is available for pre-order on Adidas.com, is the company’s first Australian launch since it acquired the rights to sell the running shoes of the world’s biggest running shoe manufacturer in 2016.
The Australian season kicks off on November 20 with the men’s marathon.
