Nike and Adidas have joined forces to launch a retail and footwear outlet in the UK.
The partnership marks the first joint venture between the sports shoe brands, which have previously partnered on shoes in the country.
The sports retailer will open a flagship store in the capital, London, with a focus on boys and men’s footwear and accessories, as well as footwear for the growing global market for men’s shoes.
Nike and Adidas will share the stores’ brands and logos, along with brand information, with an aim to help brands understand the appeal of their brands.
“We are excited to partner with Ryka Shoes to provide a range of great footwear in a new way,” said Nike UK Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Sargent.
“Ryka Shoes is the leading UK retail partner for men, with more than 15,000 stores and over 1,100 outlets worldwide, which means we have a huge range of men’s and women’s shoes to choose from.”
Nike will sell the Ryka store through the Rykanetstore website, with the retail and shoe accessories sold through its online store.
The UK-based retailer has been working closely with the Rykas brand in recent years to improve the performance of their products.
The Rykas shoes are manufactured by Japanese footwear maker Ryka.
