A new fashion brand is opening its doors in Jerusalem with a shoe rack full of men’s shoes.
ShoesWithWheels, a women-focused footwear company, will open a store at the Old City’s first shopping plaza, a popular spot for men with shoes.
It will also carry men’s footwear at other locations around the city.
The brand will be called ShoesWithWheres.
In September, Shoe Rack closed its doors.
It was the second time it closed after an Israeli court found the company liable for damages caused by the collapse of a building in Tel Aviv.
The owner, Zvi Shalev, said in September that the company would close down as part of its restructuring, and that the shop would be sold to a family of business partners.
The store will be opened by Shaleves brother-in-law, Rabbi Meir, and his wife.
They are also the owners of a fashion brand called Shoe Factory, which was sold to the family of the former owner, who was convicted of manslaughter in the 2010 death of a man who fell and hit his head on the stairs of the building.
The family said they had been seeking a solution for the shop for years.
Shalevets brother- in-law has said that the decision to sell the store to the Shaleys was a response to the court’s ruling.
