A pair of trail running trainers can help you run better and keep your muscles fresh for longer.

It’s used to help you control the pace of your run and to help prevent injury to your feet.
The trainers are made from materials such as synthetic materials and are designed to be lightweight and flexible.
“It’s a good fit for running, and there’s a lot of data out there saying that running can be stressful,” says Dr Stephen Smith, from Footwear Development Australia.
“So we think that this would be a great way of promoting a bit of comfort, and keeping your feet fresh for a longer period.”
Dr Smith says trail running training is not new, but he says the technology has improved over the past decade or so.
“The trend is towards the more supportive shoes and it’s now more affordable and you can go out and buy these,” he says.
“In the last couple of years, it has been really nice to see the number of injuries to runners increased, which we know is associated with being on the wrong foot.”
The number of people injured or killed on their own feet for running has doubled in the past 10 years.
In the past year, there have been more than 1,400 reported injuries, including 675 fatalities, the latest figures available.
Dr Smith believes running shoes have a lot to do with the increase in injuries.
“There’s some research that suggests that a lot more runners are wearing shoes, which obviously does lead to more injuries,” he said.
“We know that they’re also more likely to suffer from fatigue and a lack of oxygen, which can lead to an increased risk of injuries and death.”
It’s important to know where to get the right trainersA pair of running shoes is one of the most common injuries suffered by runners.
Footwear Research & Development Australia is the national body responsible for running footwear research.
“I think for the majority of runners, running shoes don’t help them,” Dr Smith said.”[But] I think if you look at the statistics from the past ten years, there has been an increase in the number and the frequency of injuries, and the risk of injury is there.”
The Australian Institute of Sport has compiled a report called Running Footwear and it shows that a range of shoes have been linked to injuries and fatalities.
“Footwear is definitely a concern, but what we’re trying to do here is to make sure that it’s something that we’re all comfortable with, and it can be safely worn,” Dr Stephen Jones said.
Foot wear can be costlyIt’s not just running shoes that are putting runners at risk.
A recent study in the American Journal of Medicine found that wearing running shoes in the middle of a busy urban street was a factor in causing an increasing number of fatal injuries.
The research, conducted by researchers from the University of California, Irvine, found that women were more likely than men to be wearing running trainers.
“When we talk about footwear, we’re talking about a shoe that is placed on your feet, that’s in the foot, and you’re not moving your feet,” Dr Jones said
